Prize Philanthropy

The blog Tactical Philanthropy has 2 posts on using prizes in philanthropy to increase innovation and to simulate market forces in problem domains where these forces don't necessarily come naturally. Although the blog is not space-centric or prize-centric, there is a lot there in the posts and comments about space prizes like those run by the X PRIZE Foundation and Bigelow Aerospace.
